E-hailing taxi apps have drastically transformed the transportation industry and the Scandinavian technology company Cabonline Group is benefitting from this shift. The company’s technology platform powers taxi bookings, dispatches, fare handling and in-car technology for multiple-owned and associated taxi brands.
To meet the increasing demand for its services, Cabonline recently partnered with Creative Software to establish a dedicated Research and Development team in Sri Lanka.
When asked about their growth and why they selected Creative Software as their development partner, Cabonline Head of Development Nicklas Kittelmann said: “Our growth is fueled by the trend of people increasingly preferring the option of utilising taxi services to driving, especially as it offers added benefits such as ride-sharing and the option of going cashless. When looking for a development partner, Creative Software was our first choice. They came with great references and in addition to that, my past experience of their efficient, flexible methods of working and their dedication to a high-quality offering, made the decision easy.”
Creative Software Software Engineering Director Damitha Liyanage said the team was excited about the work they were doing for Cabonline: “The Cabonline team at Creative Software was established less than a year ago. The team has more than doubled in size since then and we will expand further during 2020. Along with our colleagues in Sweden, we enable an average of 50,000 taxi trips per day. Our team is instrumental in ensuring the travelers reach their destination conveniently, safely and on time, even though we are located thousands of miles away.”
