Join our dynamic team working on an exciting large-scale e-health project for Norway! You’ll be part of a hybrid infrastructure that blends Kubernetes clusters with VMware-based Windows servers, all designed using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to make deployment and scaling smooth and efficient. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with both our Sri Lankan and Norwegian teams, helping bridge the gap between development, platform, and infrastructure. You'll play a key part in troubleshooting, optimizing workflows, and ensuring system reliability, while also keeping everyone informed about upcoming changes. Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Design & Analysis: Develop scalable IT infrastructure models, create system architecture diagrams, and align solutions with business needs.

Data Center & Cloud Operations: Manage data center operations with VMware, Docker, Kubernetes, and orchestration tools. Optimize cloud and hybrid environments for scalability, security, and reliability, ensuring synchronization between Sri Lanka and Norway’s infrastructure.

CI/CD Pipeline & Automation: Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate deployments with Terraform, Ansible, and shell scripting, and troubleshoot build or database issues.

Network, Security & Access Management: Manage network inventory, oversee security permissions, and collaborate with the Norwegian team to implement security policies and maintain a secure environment.

Stakeholder Management & Decision Making: Serve as the liaison between Sri Lankan and Norwegian teams, contribute to planning, represent Sri Lanka in strategic discussions, and ensure clear communication of technical changes and requirements.

Developer Support & Collaboration: Assist developers with infrastructure needs, addressing technical challenges and enabling smooth operations.

Key Qualifications:

• A Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or an equivalent qualification.

• Prior 3+ years’ experience in DevOps & Infrastructure/Systems management, or platform engineering.

• Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP.

• Experience working in a distributed software development environment.

• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.\

Key Skills and Expertise:

Technical Expertise

• Strong understanding of DevOps principles and hands-on experience with CI/CD tools.

• Expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized deployments.

• Experience managing and troubleshooting IIS and other web hosting environments.

• Solid understanding of networking, firewalls, and security permissions.

• Proficiency in managing Windows/Linux servers, including on-prem and cloud infrastructure.

• Knowledge of database administration and troubleshooting (MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.).

• Hands-on experience with build pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, TeamCity, Octopus Deploy).

• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Helm.

• Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack.

Soft Skills & Collaboration

• Strong stakeholder management skills, capable of engaging with senior leadership, infrastructure, and development teams.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across geographically distributed teams.

• Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Proactive, problem-solving mindset, able to identify and drive infrastructure improvements.

• Strong organizational and prioritization skills, able to manage multiple concurrent tasks and projects.

• Ability to drive technological changes in infrastructure and platform, while actively keeping local teams and relevant stakeholders informed.
